Stories

László Hudec designed 1924

Designed by Hungarian-Slovak architect László Hudec as the Normandie Apartments, inspired by the prow of a ship. It was one of Shanghai's first high-rise apartment buildings.

Sun Daolin (孙道临) lived 1960s–2007

Celebrated film actor Sun Daolin lived here for decades. Known for roles in "Early Spring in February" and "Erta River," he was a beloved figure in the building's community.
